The Center for Africana Futures at Texas Southern University proudly presents the AI and Athletics: Understanding the Value of Historic Brand Association, Innovation and Digital Media for Future Growth and Persistence as part of the HBCU Sports Ecosystem Symposium Series in partnership with the College of Education, Department of Health, Kinesiology and Sport Studies and Department of Athletics. This dynamic symposium on April 24 & 25, 2025, aligns with this year’s theme of the previously held TSU Research Week: "Innovation in Action: Advancing Participation in Research, Entrepreneurship, and Community Engagement."

At the heart of this symposium is a celebration of Black innovation in sport, exploring how ancestral intelligence meets artificial intelligence, digital media, college athletics, and entrepreneurship are reshaping our communities and industries. This event features renowned experts such as conference commissioners and directors of athletics, thought leaders such as academic deans and professors, social media influencers, and innovators and offers critical insights into the future of Black digital engagement and technological advancement in HBCU athletics.
